Wedding photography payment schedule FAQ
How do I calculate a wedding photography deposit?
Enter the complete package price, then compare the booking-payment amount in each example. A $3,500 package produces a $1,050 booking payment at 30%, $1,750 at 50%, or $875 at 25%.
Is there a standard payment schedule for wedding photographers?
There is no universal schedule. The calculator shows three common structures for comparison only. Choose percentages, due dates and wording that match your business, signed client agreement and local requirements.
Should I call the first payment a deposit or a retainer?
Use the term in your attorney-reviewed agreement. Deposit, retainer and booking fee can have different legal consequences depending on the contract and jurisdiction, so this calculator uses the neutral label booking payment.
How does the calculator handle rounding?
Every amount is calculated in whole cents. The final installment absorbs any one-cent rounding difference, so every displayed schedule reconciles exactly to the package total.
Can I send a calculated schedule to a client?
Yes. Use Copy schedule beneath any result to paste that plan into a proposal, email or message. Add the actual due dates and make sure the wording matches the signed agreement before sending it.
Does this calculator collect payments or store client data?
No. It only calculates example amounts in your browser. It does not collect a client payment, create a contract or send the package total to MintInvoice.
