Is this invoice generator really free?
Yes. You can create and download as many clean, watermark-free invoices as you want at no cost, without a trial limit or an account. The optional one-time Pro upgrade adds estimates, receipts, payment tracking and extra brand themes.
Do I need to sign up or create an account?
You do not need an account to use the free generator. If you choose Pro, checkout and payment details are handled by Lemon Squeezy; MintInvoice only asks for the license key they issue so it can activate the upgrade.
Where is my invoice data stored?
Your invoice content is processed and saved in your browser's local storage; it is not sent to MintInvoice. Pro license activation sends the license key and an installation identifier to Lemon Squeezy, but not your invoice, client or line-item details.
How do I download my invoice as a PDF?
Click the download button to open your browser's print dialog with the invoice laid out for A4. Choose 'Save as PDF' as the destination, review the preview and save the file to your device.
Should I include my tax ID on the invoice?
Invoice requirements vary by location and client. If your country, state or customer requires a tax registration number such as a VAT or GST ID, add it to your business details. Check local guidance or ask a qualified adviser when you are unsure.
What payment terms should I use on my invoice?
Use the payment terms agreed with your client and show a specific due date, such as 'Net 14' or 'Due within 30 days'. Clear terms reduce ambiguity. For new or larger projects, you can agree on a deposit or milestone schedule before work begins.
